de Colores Arte on the Avenue

In honor of Cinco de Mayo and as part of our commitment to celebrating the rich cultural diversity of Rochelle, LULAC is partnering with the Rochelle CAN Arts & Culture Committee to introduce “De Colores: Art on the Avenue” for this year’s community-wide celebration! We will be painting a stretch of downtown’s 4th Avenue with squares of artwork created by YOU.

Anyone interested may purchase an art kit for $5 (to be received the day of the event) and will be assigned a # for a 4x4 ft. square. Then on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 gather your friends, family, or go it alone to create your masterpiece on the street anytime from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM!

All artistic skill levels are WELCOME! You may also bring other materials, if you would like, to create your one-of-a-kind masterpiece!

Together, with many other people, we will paint the town...de colores! In case of rain, the event will be cancelled, but no refunds will be given. Your purchase will be graciously accepted as a donation to LULAC Rochelle and used for the following year’s event.
