Hay Day is less than two weeks away -- October 15th from 10am to 6pm in Downtown Rochelle!
We are so excited to bring this first-year event to Rochelle and would be willing to bet that it will only grow in the years to come! We have so enjoyed seeing the different haybales pop up around town over the past few weeks, with a couple of new ones just this past weekend - May School & First Presbyterian Church. We even still have a few bales out there that are in place and ready to be decorated.
So what is Hay Day, you ask? Hay Day is a family-friendly fall festival. This one is all about the kids! We have a petting zoo, bounce houses, craft projects including cornstalk dolls & pumpkins, s'mores, touch-a-truck, face painting and more! Plus we have all sorts of delicious food on the menu -- Hicks BBQ will be serving pulled pork sandwiches & pulled pork nachos, the Fire Department is grilling up their festival-famous pork chops, Off the Wall is baking their fresh pies, the Downtown Rochelle Association will serve Cliff's Donuts and the Rochelle Performing Arts Academy will host a bake sale.
We can't wait to see you there!
